Ah PBFcomics, that's a fun read. I like it since it makes you think (real) hard for you to get the joke. Sometimes the reference is too deep, that you (or I) don't get it. Hey deb, go read www.xkcd.com warning though, it's very nerdy, so you might not get the jokes.

Been awhile since last I visited this thread. Work has been hell for me and i needed a vacation. I see that both John and Vemp have been busy. You guys have been rockin'. No blogging for me though. GERO!

I've somehow reverted back to using live pictures as references. Its one of those practices where it grounds you, keeping it real as they say. Ive been stuck at looking at other artists' art style that somehow referencing them would feel like cloning them (as you are looking from their imagination's perspective). Its a fresh new take for me and i hope it'll bring new perspective to my style. "Be Liquid!" To adjust and adapt my line work and not be stuck like the liefelds out there.

Yup, seen it before-- and it still looks cool. I think there's also a picture of Rachel Nichols as Scarlett.

Pax!

Uhmm...

well...

The images were all leaked a week ago roughly at
http://www.comicnerd.com/news/breaki...gi-joe-leaked/
but have since been taken down. They showed StormShadow, Hawk, Duke, Ripcord, Scarlett, Cover Girl, Baroness, and Snake Eyes.

Just so you know, only Scarlett and Snake Eyes were really impressive. Everything else had too much of a dumb Street Fighter vibe. The movie. Not the game.

@zerk: (OT) What can I say? I just couldn't resist two of her features. I panicked when the salesman said it's the last stock and they won't be restocking.

<removed pix of Power Girl to avoid corrupting minors like zerk>

Do you agree that her facial sculpt is accurate (Phil Jimenez style)?

In all honesty, Phil Jimenez is a bit meh. The only time's I've ever been impressed with how PG was portrayed was when Adam Hughes and Amanda Conner drew her. Everyone else seems to fall flat (pardon the pun) and pedestrian. But that -is- an impressive little man-doll. Nice hunting, dude.

Also.

Anyone who doesn't plan to watch Iron Man should just leave this thread. You fail at life.

Carlo's obsession over plastic boobs is creepy. I understand someone's fascination over photographed or filmed breasts, but plastic ones?

So anyways, I have sore-eyes. I doubt I can go and watch a movie this weekend, well maybe I'll go watch a movie and infect every moviegoer I encounter with my RABID EYE DISEASE!

Also, watch out for a daily art thing project I'm planning on doing.

P.S. read nedroid.com

@vamp: Er, yeah. I'm creeping myself out too. But perhaps this is better than those people planting hidden cameras in female CRs in Japan.

Yeah, summer is bad for me too. This is the season where my sinusitis is at its worse (hot outside, cold inside).
