I went to the seminar. one hour late. :P just in time for a freebie palabok.... :P i wasnt listening too much, i was choking kay wala man ko tagae ug drink. :P hehehhe.......... the one hour i spent there was listening to carlo's life story and his love story with donna villa. :P

they were very generous to give money prizes to the attendees.. i went home early , disappointed at the lack of softdrinks. :P heehhehe

guess what, i took pictures. ill post them as soon as i have time. weebong and his friends were there also.

sori jud kaayo if wala ko kaadto and wala ko katawag to inform you. wala nako tuyoa pag pang-indian or ang pag pang-igorot. dugay naabot akong boss, maldito pa lang ko, ako na unta siya gkasab-an. maayo gani buotan ko. tungod ato, hangtod karon (10:30 PM) naa pa gihapon ko sa office! nag-andam sa akong dad-onon para ugma! sori jud kaayo bai! hinaot unta mapasaylo ko nimo. wala ko ktawag kay nahutdan ko ug batt! sori jud kaayo bai! gpalano raba ta ko da nga magdala ko ug mango juice ipatilaw nimo!

I saw Harvey's works thru dA as well. I read Harvey's bios and it was inspiring. He had humble beginnings. But look at him now!

Remember the ToyCon? I asked 2lio and his fellow sup (Tride) to meet Warren and you for the ToyCon pre-planning. Since 2lio was transferred to another area, he requested Tride to make ToyCon proposal to the Level Up! head. Tride complied the first. However, he failed to notify you about the heads' decision,which is they decline the proposal. I'm really sorry. Nagwonder kasi ako why wala na ung ToyCon update.

About the Komiks Karavan...

I didn't find it a complete waste of time. I had some personal business with Carlo Caparas and Donna Villa because I wrote a script for them two years ago and I was eager for their personal feedback, which Sir Carlo gave positively.

It was an interesting experience to see and meet a local living legend, just gotta have some of that great mojo rub on that made him very successful, from being a farmer's errand boy with a 1st year high school education to a multi-awarded multi-millionaire just by writing, if he could do it then by heaven and hell so could I.

It was also a casual study of human nature. Like zerk said, people were like cattle, stampeding forward for the cash prizes but it was all in the spirit of wholesome fun.

I think it was only a select few who went there in all seriousness and sincerity but the whole event was basically something like a "LIFE IN THE SPIRIT" seminar.. breathing hope and interest in komiks industry with a lot of announcements that the NCCA is set to revive the komiks industry.

There will be a coming komiks contest where writers and artists can send in their complete works (by complete, meaning the comic script and the comic based on the comic script). There are cash prizes but the greatest part of it is, winner or not, all the comics will be published as part of a nationwide drive to revitalize the interest into this popular, yet lokally abandoned, medium of entertainment.

Will post here as soon as the details come out.
