Well, the Caparas couple claims that the "Komiks Caravan" will tour the entire country, so maybe it'll stop by your hometown (which is where again?).

Feast!

@HbH
davao po

I happen to read INQ today. It features Caparas' komiks craze. Caparas' caravan will stop at Cebu and it will be the last place they'll visit for the komiks seminar. Luoy kaau ang mga comic enthusiast sa dvo kay wala nanimaho.

I can't seem to find this article you are referring to in PDI's website (maybe it hasn't been posted yet).

However, if that is true, that is truly sad for those in Davao indeed.

Peace.

@all:

Don't forget our Sunday meeting at 2pm in Bigby's. I kind of miss the bottomless ice tea.

Minutes of the April 15, 2007 meeting

Who (in order of good looks, er, alphabetical order)

- cmontoya
- db
- santini
- suede
- vemp
- weebong
- zerk

Personal updates

- cmontoya is now pious prude and has given up drawing T&A. He is now into heads.

- db will be in Manila and will be visiting Fully Booked at the Power Plant Mall at the Rockwell Center, Makati.
- She said she'll buy all the books we want ... bayad lang ta.

- santini's into the Lone Ranger and Tonto. I'm not sure if he's referring to the adult video titled
"The Lone Ranger and Tonto: Indians in Heat at Brokeback Mountain" or Dynamite Entertainment's
revival.

- suede, well, he's still into The Hulk, The Demon, Venom and other muscle bound freaks. Duda nako ani da.

- vemp, gasp, is learning how to speak like a Californian. So he can better speak to Christine Mendoza?

- weebong doesn't look like Lex Luthor anymore. He's Tim Yap again.

- And he will soon be illustrating text books. I shudder to think what his rendering of a 'table' would be. He could put an Ouija board
on it.

- zerk, he's going to be the next Donald Trump or was it Donald Duck? Mmy hearing isn't good as it used to.

What happened?

- suede, vemp, zerk showed off their Moleskins, "the legendary notebook of Van Gogh, Chatwin, Hemingway, Matisse and Céline."

- So that's why our vangogh uses them

- cmontoya drew heads (front view only), suede draw muscle bound freaks, vemp actually drew gestures from life, and zerk, well,
he's fast as usual

- some are going to the Carlo J. Caparas Komiks Caravan - I think santini, suede, and zerk are.

- we are still wondering why Lostsoul is in Manila.

- and thank goodness, cmontoya and santini ordered bottomless Royal Thru-Orange this time.

What's happening next?

- According to a brochure suede brought with him, there would be another live nude sketching at the Tapas Lounge this
Wednesday April 18. I'll call in the morning first to confirm but if you want to confirm yourselves, their tel no is 233-4089.

@db, weebong:

Here's the gallery of the Michel Gagne, the author/illustrator of Insanely Twisted Rabbits:

@zerk:

Yeah, children's book.

@suede:

Yup, Weebong could illustrate children's book. I think he'll build a local portfolio first before trying out for the
global scene.

I'm on the look out for Gagne's Parables though which is a compilation of his four books. I don't want to buy it
from Amazon though. Cute-an lang ko sa iya art. Weird but cute.
