dungeons and dragons? doesnt ring a bell, i do remember watching pokemon as a kid. hehehhee bitaw I was lucky enough to catch a rerun of the final episode of dungeons and dragons.. it was gratifying to have finally saw what happned in the ending. i dont mind missing the episodes in between. murag katong voltes v , walay ending.. murag 5 or 6 years after pa ko kita sa last episode

Costanilla: Komiks seminar- for free!

THE country’s komiks king Carlo J. Caparas a.k.a. Direk Carlo should be commended for sharing his talent - and even fortune - with those aspiring komiks writers and illustrators in Cebu and the rest of the country. He and his Cebuano wife Donna Villa a.k.a. the mega producer met with some local media practitioners one evening last week. The couple asked yours truly to contact them.

DIREK Carlo and Donna explained that they are spearheading a nationwide komiks caravan (“our humble way of giving back�) to entice budding writers and illustrators to participate in a two-hour free seminar on komiks writing that they are planning to hold on Tuesday, April 24, starting at 2 p.m. There will be an open forum as well as free snacks and seminar materials during the event to be held at the old Capitol session hall. Direk Carlo and Donna have authorized yours truly to enlist those who are interested to join. Call or text me (cellphone number 0915-4992844) right now so that I can include your name. The deadline for listing is Saturday, April 21. You pay nothing.

Just be ready with your story idea and Direk Carlo and some National Commission for Culture and the Arts people (they’ll conduct the seminar) will guide you in coming up with a komiks material of anything you have in mind - in minutes!

NOT only that. The Caparas couple will also award the top three komiks stories if only to revive public interest and appreciation of the komiks industry which has always been and will always be part of Filipino literature and culture. According to Direk Carlo and Donna, they have set aside P40,000, P30,000 and P20,000 for the top three winning komiks materials.

The competition is open to everybody, preferably amateurs. Age and gender do not matter for as long as you are interested to write and illustraten and win. Call or text me now while listing is going on.

IT is truly laudable on the part of Direk Carlo and Donna to launch this noble activity. They already have everything - in fact, they’re also very busy with a number of Tagalog teleseryes and yet, they have not forgotten his poor beginnings and those times when Direk Carlo was still starting out as a komiks writer. They are actually sharing their graces now with those interested to learn komiks writing and illustration because the venture is really income-generating if you only have the determination and the guts to write. By the way, to recall, Donna’s first three productions which became box-office hits were all komiks materials. Remember Paano Hahatiin ang Puso, Tuklaw and Andres de Saya?
