If you see Chuck Norris crying, he will grant you a wish. That is, if your wish is dying.

@all: DC/Marvel -> Manga or Manga -> DC/Marvel or even DC/Marvel/Manga -> macabre. It doesn't matter. We will vote who we think made the best
conversion. The X-Men/JLA was just a suggestion. Kung ganahan mo Walt Disney Princesses to hentai, hala bira.

@vemp: Er, our BT allowance isn't really that big Dili pa man sad sure. Pag naa na ako PAL ticket, kana sure na dyud.

@all: Aya, Weebong probably isn't familiar with DC/Marvel characters.

@Weebong: Don't worry because people will be bringing comic books. A few of them will be DC/Marvel for sure

@all: I haven't really drawn anything substantial this week as I was reading about drawing realistically and viewing Vilppu's tutorials (one more chapter to go, er, two more actually if zerk brings the silent chapter 2 tomorrow).Â* I realized that some of the pornstar poses I downloaded aren't really similar to Vilppu's.Â* I know that there is a series of books titled Virtual Poses and their website says we can download free poses if we register.Â* I'll register now!

http://www.virtualpose.net/register.html

I'm not sure though if we can download all the poses from Virtual Pose 1, 2, and 3 but hey at least they're giving away some (smaller versions only but with MS Paint, I can double the size tutal
dili man details importante kundi ang pose).

@zerk: What evuk? Virtual pose? You have? I'll check again but I don't it has. I'll pay you with my useless DVD-Rs (useless in my laptop, grrr!). I've read Vilppu's bio, he actually visited the Philippine branch of Disney (back office operations siguro) and taught the local talents his methods.

@zerk: Vilppu says what's going on his mind while he was drawing. I think I understand what he's talking about. For example,

1. gesture != (er, that's a symbol for NOT EQUAL) stick figures (seen in How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way)

2. Seeing the body as made up of three malleable forms - spheres, boxes and cylinders. I think the challenge lies in how to combine them to create
organic forms

BUT based on what I've seen so far, a little background about our skeleton and muscles (the ones visible under the skin) will help us determine which
of them are spherical, box-like and cylindrical.

His style is totally different from the "how to draw realistic..." books that I've been reading. Most of my books encourage copying (which vangogh has
pointed out isn't bad as it trains the eye first). However, after portraiture, the next step would be to draw by analyzing (breaking down) the model. I assume his teachings would help us draw realistic poses from imagination.

By the way, he isn't just into figures. He can draw other things too and has written plenty of online tutorials at

http://mag.awn.com/index.php?ltype=C...&column=vilppu

@all: More free poses here: http://erotic-artworks.com/top100/topsites.html (I haven't visited but some are okay). The Virtual Pose site only gave away 3 .mov files and 16 static images. I thought the author had more freebies (teaser ra di-ay).
