Okay, see you later then, rodsky. Look out for a small "girl" with long curly locks and glasses. =) Who else is meeting us at McDo South?

Warm birthday wishes to you, katezu!

To those who weren't able to make it, don't fret--the group members who made it have decided to MOVE the Bookfellas meeting this Wednesday evening, April 30, 2008, from 8:00-10:00pm. Venue is the same (G-Spa, very nice and conducive nga venue), and I shall make a map so that you will not get lost (I've been there na so I think I can draw a fairly accurate map). We decided on April 30 kay next day is May 1 (holiday).

So those who weren't able to finish the book, you still have a chance to join the discussion, so read on!

Brownprose might add more details about this coming Wednesday's meeting, after I post this. I finally was able to meet FireFaery, Brownprose and of course our generous host and birthday celebrant, Katezu. We had a lively discussion, but we didn't talk about Kundera's book--we opted to postpone discussion of the book 'til Wednesday

I particularly enjoyed listening to brownprose and rodsky's thoughts on "things" (a lot of things). These guys are fountainheads of ideas and information. I love katezu's cozy spa, too. She's got the place (and snacks) ready for us na unta baya. Sayang. Hopefully, a lot of us will be able to make it this Wednesday. I'm loving this group so far, and I know I'll love it more as I attend more book discussions.

@pinky_me. This is an open-to-all book club. There's no registration process or anything of that sort. Just read the chosen book for the month, and attend the book discussion which is usually scheduled on the last Saturday (or Sunday) of that month. A link to April's book (ebook) is on this page, in case you haven't read it yet. You can still join the discussion this Wednesday, if you like. For more info on BookFellas, check Luthienne's post here.

@rodsky & brownprose...i owe you, guys, change sa cab fare.

Hello Bookfellas...

We (rodsky, firefaery & katezu) were almost tempted to discuss the book but we thought it would be fun and more insightful to learn what some of us have to say on April 30. Can't wait to hear back rodsky, firefaery and katezu...the four of us had a good exchange about a lot of things inside katezu's little nook (G Spa) which btw, is just too perfect for the discussion.

@ Galenostriel

Me too...can't wait to hear from you too. I'll post some details in a while for this Wednesday's discussion.

Map is ready...

So basically, if you're coming in via cab, just tell the driver to head for Pardo church, but before arriving at Pardo church, tell him to watch out for KINGSMEN Tailoring along the corner of South Road and L. Tabura Street. Tell him to turn right at Tabura, and meters away from that intersection you will see G-Spa.

I have a suggestion. To those near the Fuente area, we can all meet up at Chowking Fuente, at around 7:15 PM. We then shall wait until 7:40 PM after which, pag wala na'y moabot, those present will then proceed to the venue.
