one of the reasons for this is because windows is usually bundled when you buy a new pc, and people usually don't care about OS and stuff basta bago pc, mu run, maka gamit cla, internet,chat... linux, like cosplay posted, is for eccentrics, hardcore people, those who dare to be different...

Why? Simply because there are many people using Windows. Ask yourself, "If I was a hacker, where would I hack? In a lonely place? Or in a place where I can cause many damages (Windows)"

i thought of the same thing until I got my hands on ubuntu.
dili ko hardcore, i dunno anything about programming but linux is way better than windows.

ubunto is much better but if like there is a commercail grade linux which XANDROS no more third party software mas maayo pa gyud. LINUX is the BEST PLATFORM EVER!!!!, kay pwede ka maka create imo ka-ugalingon nga OS, pwede pud na sa UBUNTO. wala pud ko problema sa pag troubleshoot kay daghan kaayo mga linux communities ..... I LOVE LINUX
