Coz i dont see any method how an end user can resolder/repair BGA based ram packages... resoldering alone is quite impossible for us unless you have the needed manufactueres equipments and the spare BGA modules..

Maybe il have a friend go over your place and have his X1800 checked
also got 2x ti4200's here and 1x 9800XT maybe maybe il send it in also.
these cards have the pink squares problem commonly found on defective memory modules.
