The real reason why the church cannot accept and tolerate women as priests is because the church is PATRIARCHAL and women were suppressed and declared as inferior to men. But when you study closely during the ancient times, the socitey before was MATRIARCHAL, dominated by women. Now in our times, MEN and WOMEN are now beginning to have COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS and the heirarchy of the church dominated by men are now slowly beginning to feel the pressure coming from different sectors of the society. The FEMINIST MOVEMENT and GENDER EQUALITY are now paving the way and the church seems to be DEFENSIVE and THREATENED by these emerging movements!
