THe girl who broke her own heart:

Once upon a time a girl, whose heart was still whole and untroubled, met a boy prince. He had such woe in his eyes and a hole in his heart to match. She decided she’d try her best to make the boy smile again. As whole as she was that time, she could not resist the broken spirit’s unseen need for rescue.

Sooner on, the girl and the boy became best of friends and grew so close to each other that only they can comprehend what was going on between them. And so she fell in love with that broken prince. Though uncertain, she risked.....

… yet another sleepless night.

Forgive me, but I just can’t wait to say this…

Extending the life of an aging server is no walk in the park. It involves a lot of reading and countless rounds of “trial and error”… despite all the boredom and the loooooong process, there’s something out there that keeps me ticking… make no mistake, I am not a programmer nor a webmaster by profession… I am simply someone who likes to tinker with stuff and try to make them work (although sometimes I make things “break down”). But why do I like doing this? Why do I keep nurturing.....

God’s plan for my pain.

I really resist (or do I resent?) the trite words that are often given as sage advice to someone who is going through difficult times.Well, just think about poor people in Afghanistan or Africa (or your sister, or someone you knew thirteen years ago, or someone you don’t even know who’s in pain). What if you were in their shoes? You can always find someone who has more problems than you do. Be thankful that yours are not as bad as theirs. Just think about that . . . you know, walking in their moccasins for two weeks.Nope. That’s not what I need to hear. I don’t want my needs or my.....

Sleepless + less sleep = problem solved = more sleep…

Slept early (in the morning). Been fiddling with the server (again)… a few hours of reading + a few queries + a few lines of codes / config options changed or inserted + some recompilation + a very supportive wife who stayed up with me until around 6am (I slept around 7:30) = a much, much, better performance.

… a few hours of sleep later, here I am again hoping to solve one big mystery… the “Delete Replies To Own Threads” disfunctionality… checked email, one of them asked if I was interested in a partnership with a telephone company.....

Happy Father’s Day

History of Father’s Day (From the Net)
The celebration of Fathers day can most likely be credited to Mrs. John B. Dodd, of Washington State, who first suggested the idea of the holiday in 1909. The original date chosen for the holiday was June 5, Mr. Smart’s birthday, however the celebration was postponed until June 19, the third Sunday in June, because there was not enough time to prepare. In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. Sonora having been raised by her father, Henry Jackson Smart, after her mother.....

Bridge, bridge where are you?

WordPress is a wonderful thing. It is fast, intuitive, simple to manage, and above all it’s free! But in all its splendor and glory there seems to be one thing missing… a bridge to link to the userbase of SMF. After scouring thru the net and the SMF / WordPress forums, I can’t seem to find one. Lunabyte.net has one but one has to install their “Enigma 2″ portal system for it to work (which I don’t want to do). If there are any kindhearted coders out there (calling vern) who can make one.....
