Forgive me, but I just can’t wait to say this…
Extending the life of an aging server is no walk in the park. It involves a lot of reading and countless rounds of “trial and error”… despite all the boredom and the loooooong process, there’s something out there that keeps me ticking… make no mistake, I am not a programmer nor a webmaster by profession… I am simply someone who likes to tinker with stuff and try to make them work (although sometimes I make things “break down”). But why do I like doing this? Why do I keep nurturing this site called “iSTORYA”? For so long a lot of people have been asking… and for so long, I have been asking myself.. why? Finding the answer is as hard as finding a needle in a haystack… Meeting friends? I meet people all the time, that must not be the reason (though I must admit I’ve met a lot of great people here)… and believe it or not, people have come to hate me because of iSTORYA… Make money? Nah… ever since its inception, it has all been investing… but of course, a lot of people make money from “doing business” though the site. Outreach activities? Highly plausible but not quite… we can do that offline right?… so what is it? what keeps me from turning my back from this fun, rewarding, but frustrating community?…

After a can of Dole Pineapples I still can’t pull out the elusive answer from my mind… time for some apples.

Bah! I give up! Nothing seems to be the right fit for an answer. There is one thing I know though that I can’t ignore… the essence of the community, which is to help, has been “bonding” us together and kept us going and going and going… and getting stronger and stronger and stronger. As long as that essence is maintained, iSTORYA.NET will always be here… and without any posible escape, I will be here to enjoy more sleepless nights. ^_^
