For so long iSTORYA.NET has been Cebu’s largest online community and it is still growing. Along the way, we introduced the Buy / Sell boards which contributed to an even faster growth. Sadly, along came crappers and scammers who only registered to crap threads or post bogus deals. This had to be dealt with to maintain the integrity of the community as a whole. Below are the list of new changes which partly addresses these concerns and more:
- New mainpage theme
- Consumer Electronics has been broken down into 5 child-boards
- “Report to moderator” now visible on all forums
- Newbies are no longer allowed to post topics under buy / sell
- Buy / Sell Child Boards are visible to everyone (including “Guests”)
- Lowered required number of post to promote “Newbie” – “Junior Member” from 50 to 30 (this can change if abused)
While these changes can help limit these so called “crappers” and “scammers”, it isn’t 100%. If they continue to abound, we will scrap all their access rights to the said boards to make them value their access.
Here comes “paid” membership options for serious forumers and buyers / sellers. When you avail of these, you will be verified thus boosting your trust rating. Other members won’t be scared to deal with you when they see you as a Premium Member or a Platinum Member. Along these lines, you are also helping fund our outreach activities since 10% of what you pay goes straight to our outreach funds… and lastly, when we generate enough funds, we will upgrade our existing server and hopefully, with even more funds, get Server #2.

stealth, there is an issue with the new version of SMF. You need to login twice for it to go through… and login thru http://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?action=login

ngano man ni ako post always man 10? kadaghan naman ko ni post. fake man ang query sa inyo database sir. e fine-tune daw ning inyo gamit nga SQL statement nga nag count sa post. ug dili system developer dili ni mahalata pero like me nga developer mura napangitan man ko sa result kay dili man sakto ang output nga gi retrieve sa inyo nga query. if busy mo e send sa ako ang script kay ako mo fine-tune free of charge. no offense ha. i just want to correct the logical error that your system is having right now.
Good day sir beor, have a problem here. My account used by my friend posting on the buy and sell thread asking pirated cd’s. I have no idea bout the situation and for that i got warned on the first offense and moderated. I cant post new items nor reply for my previous items posted.
